A JOURNEY OF HEALING AND FRIENDSHIP

Once upon a time, I embarked on a journey to climb a mountain with no food or water for 4 days & 4 nights.

Little did I know that I would cross paths with a girl dressed all in white, with beads layered upon her body. Carrying two sticks in her hand.

I had no idea what this all meant but I found her intriguing and was completely fascinated with her.

She had been living in the Eastern Cape ( Pondoland ) going through an initiation process called isiTwasa. She had given up everything to walk the path of Sangoma ( Traditional Healer ).

This was the beginning of a very special friendship that then blossomed into a 2 year relationship. She wasn’t allowed to touch another human being in her process which meant she hadn’t had physical touch for a whole year.
I had no idea that a WOMAN would arrive into my life and completely crack open my heart.
The first couple of months were deeply challenging as we projected all of our childhood wounds & trauma onto one another.

This is the thing about relationships, they are our biggest vehicle for transformation. Our partner will push all of our buttons & show us where we still need to love ourselves.

We continued to arrive & do the ‘work’ so that our relationship could thrive.

Two women coming together who walk the medicine path are constantly being pushed to do the inner work so that we can show up in love for others in the spaces we hold.

One of the most beautiful things I have learnt in this relationship with us being in similar fields, is that there is no such thing as competition.

We all have our own unique medicine & there is space for us all.

Thongo ( her traditional name ) is one of the most authentic medicine in women I have come across & takes her work very seriously. She does deep & profound ancestral healing.

We have many clients who come to us both & the transformations I witness are incredible.

Together we work as a TEAM. We weave & dance our medicines together to help individual’s heal, shift their narrative, change their story & step into a life that feels deeply authentic, aligned and ALIVE!!
You never know who is going to show up in your life… So keep your heart OPEN!!

True self-love is not about perfection but embracing all parts of yourself—the light and the dark, the beautiful and the messy. Only by accepting our wholeness can we truly be free.
